21ST CENTURY NICKEL ELECTRODE GROUP The September 2009 Schweissen & Schneiden Essen Welding Fair will be the host event for the introduction of Selectrode’s totally updated range of high nickel alloys. Four years ago at the last Essen Fair visitors to our stand made very specific requests concerning features that they would like to see in an entirely new range of these sophisticated electrodes. Naturally our exhibit will also highlight Selectode’s very successful line of flux coated aluminum arc welding electrodes. Our stand is in Hall 2, Stand # 127. The fair located in Essen, Germany is held between September 14th and 19th and is by far the largest welding exposition in the world. NEW BUILDING STATUS As we mentioned in an earlier update, Selectrode Industries Inc continues to grow and as result we began construction of our new state of the art manufacturing facility in March of this year. The 75,000 square foot manufacturing facility has been specifically designed for the manufacture of welding electrodes. The production and electrode drying rooms will be temperature and humidity controlled to allow us to precisely monitor the drying rate of the electrodes. It will also house our new wire cutting operation along with our air purified self contained flux mixing, packaging, warehousing and distribution operations. Our new facility is being designed with the environment in mind by conserving electricity and water. The design will maximize the utilization of natural light with the liberal use of windows and sky lights; in addition it will be completely outfitted with high efficiency lighting throughout the entire facility. We are also installing a closed loop water chilling unit that will recycle all of the water used for cooling our manufacturing equipment.
